Copyright policy
Copyright of all published material is owned by the Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine. Authors must agree to transfer copyright during the submission process. The corresponding author is responsible for submitting the copyright transfer agreement to the publisher.
Open access
ACC is an open-access journal. Articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/), which permits unrestricted noncommercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Author(s) do not need to obtain permission for the use of tables or figures published in ACC from other journals, books, or media for scholarly and educational purposes. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of open-access.
Archiving Policy
According to the deposit policy (self-archiving policy) of Sherpa/Romeo (http://www.sherpa.ac.uk), authors cannot archive pre-print (i.e., pre-refereeing), but they can archive post-print (i.e., final draft post-refereeing). Authors can archive the publisher's version/PDF.
Preprint policy
Acute and Critical Care (ACC) supports posting of a preprint that is defined as a version of an author’s research manuscript before formal peer review in a scholarly journal. Deposition of a preprint on the author’s personal website, in an institutional repository, or in a preprint archive shall not be viewed as prior publication.
ACC allows authors to submit the preprint to the journal. ACC recommends authors to disclose it with digital object identifier (DOI) during the submission process. If your article is subsequently published, ACC strongly encourages you to update the information at the preprint with a link to the version of record via DOI. It is strongly recommended that authors cite the article in ACC instead of the preprint at their next submission to journals.
If you have any question or request, please contact the editorial office (acc@accjournal.org).
